The Foundation Bible Institute, formerly a branch of Bethel Bible Institute, was the first Bible Institute organized in Bridgeport, Connecticut.
The opening of a Bible School branch in the City was in response to a request made by Dr. Lashley to Dr. Roderick R. Caesar, Sr., and President of the B.B.I. in Jamaica, New York. After much prayer and due consideration, Dr. Caesar and his late wife, Gertrude Caesar, agreed to fulfill the need and in September 1960, the branch school was established.
Dr. Lashley can now give praises and thanks to God for the hundreds of students, who have completed their studies and are now serving as bishops, pastors teachers, evangelists, missionaries, counselors and various other areas of Christian service. Many of the students who have attended were unable to leave job and home to become students in a regular Bible College, and enrolled in the Branch School of B.B.I. some of whom have received their Bachelor's and Master's degrees.
Our future vision is to continue preparing men and women for God's great end-time harvest. It is a thrill to be a part of a moving, growing and progressing school.
We feel that God will bless and prosper us only as we are truly dedicated to Him and carrying out His plans to teach His Word to all who will make themselves available to be used of Him in transforming lives by the power of God for effective Christian Service.
