Personal testimony

I joined my church Ebenezer Gospel Assembly in 1990. I was a newly divorced, single parent who had never been on her own before.

I had a six-year-old son and a five-year-old daughter to take care of, and no training to do anything. After joining the church I learned that God makes ways out when it seems that you are blocked in.
I learned to consult him before I make any decisions in my life. I have found that when I do that it always works out for the best.
The teaching in this church has opened my understanding of God in a personal way. Teachings from the word of God here has taught me that God loves me just the way I am and I should not be afraid of being who I am.

God and this church have taken me from a poor unsure, immature young girl into a strong happy loving woman of God. Unafraid to proclaim that Jesus is Lord and ruler of my life.
God changes lives and the church is where you can find God and grow in him.



MY TESTAMONY OF THE SAVING POWER OF JESUS CHRIST

There was a moment in my life that would change my life forever. Little did I know while spending time with my father, this would be the last day we would spend together. As we were riding around enjoying one another like a father and daughter as good friends talking about old times, we were nearing the day. As we were beginning to depart from one another until he began to bleed profusely from his mouth and ears, which totally brought fear upon me as never before. Nevertheless I was able to call 911, and before their arrival, he began to pour out more blood as a fountain poureth out water. At this point, he passed out on the ground at which time the ambulance arrived to no avail. When he was placed in the vehicle his spirit was gone and he (died).

I was traumatized after this experience. My mind was in disarray, I did not know whether I were coming or going. All I can see before me is this terrible frightening event over and over again. Finally, there came a time I remembered what my mother told me. She had said in the time of trouble, call on the name of Jesus, but at that time I did not know Jesus and did not understand what she meant by this. Nevertheless, I called on the name of Jesus anyhow, and not only did He heal my mind, but also he saved my soul and for this, I can truly give thanks to God. I did not need no psychiatrist did not need no doctor but I just called on the name of Jesus and he heard my cry. Moreover, delivered me from all my fears and distress.

Hallelujah and I thank Him today for who he is in my life.
